Guides and tips for getting the most out of Session for Sports.

Getting Started

Create your account

Click Sign In on the home page and create an account with your email. No credit card required — you get a 14-day free trial on Starter with full access to core features.

Set up your profile

Go to Settings and add your display name, business name, and phone number. This information appears on your public booking page and client communications.

Connect Square

In Settings, click Connect Square Account. This lets your clients pay through your booking portal — payments go directly to your Square account. Session for Sports never touches the money.

Managing Clients

Add a client

From the Clients page, click Add Client. Enter their name, email, and optional phone number. Clients can also be auto-created when they book through your public link.

Log a session

Open a client profile, click New Session, and record your notes. You can attach training videos, add drill assignments, and tag focus areas for progress tracking.

Import clients

Use the Import button on the Clients page to upload a CSV file. Map columns to fields and review before confirming.

Booking & Calendar

Set your availability

In Calendar, define your available time slots for each day of the week. Block off unavailable times and set buffer periods between lessons.

Share your booking link

Your public booking URL is shown in Settings. Share it with clients — they pick an open slot, and you both get a confirmation email.

Manage bookings

View upcoming bookings on your Calendar. Click any booking to reschedule or cancel. Clients are notified automatically.

Billing & Subscription

View your plan

Go to Settings to see your current plan, limits, and billing status. Three tiers are available: Starter, Pro, and Academy.

Upgrade or downgrade

From the Billing page, choose a new plan. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.

Cancel your subscription

Cancel anytime from the Billing page. Your account stays active until the end of the billing period. Data is retained for 30 days after cancellation.

Tips & Best Practices

Use the PWA

Add Session for Sports to your home screen on iOS or Android for a native app experience. Works offline for viewing client data.

Send session blasts

Use the Blast feature to send messages to multiple clients at once — great for schedule changes, promotions, or weather cancellations.

Track progress over time

Use the Compare view on any client profile to see progress across sessions. AI-powered insights highlight improvement trends.
